Banana Finale

During this 3 day trip a lot happened, including the end of the banana saga, at least for now. Which means that the banana trees that were already at the mountains but were still stuck in pots have been planted in the soil and fertilized with manure.

Poles We started putting in poles made from dead cypress trees to support a deer net, while the more urban areas of the island don’t have deer, the more wilderness type areas do have them, which is quite an issue for farming because the deer often eat what we’re growing. So that is why we needed to start this because in a few months we will be planting our sweet potatoes and we would rather not do this when it's boiling hot.

Turbines, Kiwis, And Potatoes There is some smaller news for this trip like, we saw that a wind turbine was recently put up on a neighboring mountain, we moved our kiwis to their final growing place (We’re not sure they will survive though.), and it was very windy, so we had to get our BBQ really hot, and it wasn’t the safest way to cook, but it worked.
